Submission Criteria

• The manuscript should be submitted with complete layout styles, images and tables correctly positioned in the text and should be incorporated in a single Microsoft Word file.
• The filename should follow the format: author’s family name_submission@jie.doc.
• Manuscript title must fit on two lines only, Times New Roman font, size 14, bolded
• Manuscripts should be approximately between 2-5 pages (for short academic write ups) and a maximum of 20 pages (for research paper) of A4-sized paper.
• Specific page margin on all sides: 1”. Use single spacing.
• Follow the detailed Manuscript Style of the JIE journal.

The Issue of Bias

Avoid stereotyping on the basis of gender, race, or age. Accordingly

• choose gender-neutral terms, such as sports person rather than sportsman
• describe the person, not the disability: for example a person with visual impairment rather than a visually impaired person

Content Structure

Manuscripts should use the following content structure

• Ⅰ. Introduction
• Ⅱ. Related Literature
• Ⅲ. Methodology
• Ⅳ. Results
• Ⅴ. Discussion
• Ⅵ. Conclusion and Recommendation

Manuscript Style

The manuscript should

• show the article's title, author’s name, and affiliation in center text
• include an abstract in italicized text that should not exceed 250 words (for research paper)
• include 3-5 keywords, terms or phrases describing the article to assist searching
• use Times New Roman font, size 12 for all text, main headings should be all caps, bolded, first-tier subheadings should be bolded, and second-tier subheadings should be bolded italicized
• use a bolded, Times New Roman font, size 12 for table titles and size 10 for table numbers and text.
• should have the first sentence of every paragraph indented by tapping the space bar five times.
• use a ‘references’ style format, which provides a hanging indent, for the reference list.
• comply with the modified APA referencing system.
• should include page numbers in the text (even number upper left and odd number upper right)

Figures

Diagrams should have a caption appearing directly beneath it on the same page, be numbered successively, and must be referred to in the text. An example of how to provide an annotation for a diagram of a figure is given in Figure 1

Tables

• Use Table commands to produce tables.
• Tables should have a caption appearing above the table, be numbered successively, and be referred to in the text.
• Use table borders conservatively, generally only using horizontals.
